Falls Fest seeks to capture the spirit of the former Great Falls Festival and highlight Turners Falls’ rich local business and arts community. Festival sites and activities will be located throughout downtown Turners Falls to encourage participants to explore the shops, restaurants, breweries, and businesses up and down Avenue A and on adjacent streets.
The event will feature music performances at Peskeompskut Park, Spinner Park, and on Third Street next to the Rendezvous. The Montague Public Libraries, the Great Falls Discovery Center, and the Friends of the Montague Libraries will host children’s nature activities and a free book sale across from Town Hall. The Shea Theater will host a makers’ market, storytelling, and interactive art installations.
The event is officially scheduled from 1:00PM to 6:00PM. Select locations will host music and activities further into the evening. See schedule below. Parking info here.
Avenue A will be closed between Third Street and Seventh Street. The traffic light at the intersection of Third Street and Avenue A will be operational.
There will not be a shuttle. Parking is free on side streets and in municipal parking lots. Please see MAP.
